Comp Biz Strategy Consulting with Quantum results in immediate benefits for Unicord.gr

Unicord.gr, founded in 2021, is a manufacturing company with the novel idea to introduce pet accessories as both useful and safe, but also as luxury handmade collars and leashes that present like “jewelry for pets.” They are one of the three winners of Quantum’s Second Annual complimentary consulting program.
Today, the Unicord products are sold in pet shops in Greece, Cyprus and Riyadh; Direct-to-Consumer sales are available via the website and Instagram.
Quantum Media worked with Founder & Designer, Iliana Drakou, Business Lead Machi Panteliadou and advisor Jack Florentin to answer their key question: how should they expand the company’s top line and operating profits?
Three of the top takeaways from the consult:
- Instead of exploring additional pet accessories, the company is sticking to “going deeper” into the specialized product of all things collars and leashes; this will help them get even better at production and design, learning how to make the items faster and cheaper.
- Unicord.gr’s first priority is to expand within Greece, where they understand the culture of pet ownership and have connections in retail and wholesale. Any new international sales will come from DTC.
- The company has taken it on board that not only is a dog not a cat, but neither are the owners, nor the way to market to owners of these pets.
