NEWS AND UPDATES ON QUANTUM PARTNERS AND PROJECTS

The Revenue Roadmap: a guidebook to diversifying revenue and editorial innovation – co-authored by Quantum's Ava Seave and the International Press Institute's Ryan Powell -- was just published. The detailed primer was introduced at the International Journalism Festival in Perugia, Italy and made available for the public in May 2024. It was written for leaders in journalism to help them develop solutions to enhance their business models --i.e., how to earn more money to run their nonprofit or for profit news organizations. The guide “introduces the necessary methods and tools to raise questions, discover and identify, test and deliver the most relevant innovations and revenue diversification strategies for your media, in your market.” To download a copy, go here. Since media on the internet is increasingly user-centric and interest-based, “Outlets should identify and cater to audiences by both geography and topic of interest,” said Quantum Media Principal, Ava Seave, in an article from International Journalists' Network about starting out. When you create content that have niche interests with passionate followers, "you're going to find some people who are interested…and then they'll pay you money [for that information]” through subscriptions and ecommerce. “I'm thrilled to be moderating a debate - yes, a debate! - featuring some of the biggest names in media and technology. Join us for a lively discussion and be a part of the conversation. This isn't just another conference—it's a catalyst for the future of media. Next is now!” declares Quantum Principal Erica Gruen about the 3-day conference hosted by Streaming Media NYC.
Erica will be herding opinionated cats on May 20th (4:30-5:15pm at the International Barclays Hotel on 111 E. 48th St.) on the debate topic of "RESOLVED: Social is not the equal of premium." As the lines between niche and mainstream media companies blur and YouTube emerges as the largest media channel on the planet, what truly constitutes premium content? And what makes the distinction meaningful for those with a stake in streaming?
The debaters are Stan Ruszkowski (President - The Boxoffice Networ), Nathan Guetta (CEO - 2E6E6), Steve Crombie (CEO/Founder - Totem) and Joseph Caporoso (President - Team Whistle).
